Anne of Loxley Visits Venice

You, in Venice, well goodness me
I bet the Gondolier filled you with glee?
Did you visit St Mark's Square, for a 'rip off' drink
£5 a cuppa, sure makes one think?

Did you find it 'rough going' walking over those bridges?
At least this time of year there aren't many midges
Did you have a Bellini sat in Harry's Bar
Or did you find that a bridge too far?

I must go now, my broccoli's burning
And I think my lamb chop's ready for turning
I can't wait for when, life slows down
This time of year just makes me frown.

The December 'build up' drives me crackers
I'd gladly knot the reindeers knackers
I'm a Christmas scrooge, it comes around too fast
It's lost it's meaning, roll on Christmas past!
